Our Building
Up The Grounds Official Opening

Our school is next to the church. The main part of the building was opened in 1874. This view from the back was taken before  building of our new extension took place in 2002. The mobile classroom and two other 'temporary' buildings have been replaced. Below are photographs of how it all happened.

The top row shows the remains of the old kitchen and the last days of the mobile classroom. The next row shows the conversion of old office, porch and 'hall' into a brand new larger classroom. Class 2 moved into it on April 11th, carpet to follow! The builders, Elliston, Steady and Hawes began to dig the footings for the extension on April 16th. During May there has been real progress with the walls. The yellow bricks are intended to match the design on the original building.
