At Thorndon Primary School, we value Geography as an important part of the children’s entitlement to a broad and balanced curriculum giving numerous opportunities to equip our children with the geographical knowledge to develop their skills through studies of places, people and natural and human environments.  We will ensure that our geography curriculum engages and excites children’s curiosity with the intention to support their development of key geographical knowledge, skills and concepts. The aim is for children to leave Thorndon as thoughtful citizens, who consider their impact on and role in caring for the environment.
