We are ARTISTS!
At Thorndon Primary we believe that art is a vital part of our childrens’ education.
The teaching of art ensures that all children have the opportunity to be creative, innovative and explore shape and form, colour and texture. They learn to appreciate art in all forms and to have an opinion about what they see.
Children learn about the world's great artists, past and present and from looking at art from different cultures. From them, children learn and experiment with different styles, techniques and media.
